Purdue Overtakes Saint Louis in Doubleheader

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. –  The Purdue men's tennis team extended their home win streak with two victories over the Saint Louis Billikens on Saturday. 
 
NOTES
Tomasz Dudek and Andre Suzanne spoke early in the first match for a win over Saint Louis' Pavel Badaiants and Ryota Fukushima, 6-2 to help Purdue edge out the doubles point. 
 
Gabriele Brancatelli bested his opponent in singles by sweeping his first match over Ryota Fukushima and adding another point to the Boilermaker's score.
 
Soon after singles points were added at No. 5, 3, and 4 to solidify a 7-0 sweep for Purdue. 
 
In the next match, Athell Bennett and Gabriele Brancatelli swept their opponents to help secure the doubles point for the Boilermakers. 
 
Purdue only dropped one singles match helping them to prevail 6-1 over the Billikens. 
 
The Boilermakers wrapped up the weekend with two more wins to raise their record to 7-6. 
 
UP NEXT
Purdue will make a road trip to Berkeley, Calif. to take on California on Mar. 16.
