Boilers Clinch Conference Opener Over Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –  The Purdue men's tennis team opened conference play at Indiana this afternoon. 
 
NOTES
Purdue opened Big Ten conference play with a 4-0 win over Indiana. This is the first win over the Hoosiers since 2016.
 
Piotr Galus and Michal Wozniak helped to secure the doubles point over the Hoosiers to give Purdue a 1-0 start. 
 
In singles, Michal Wozniak, Galus secured wins at No. 5 and No. 6 raising the Boilermakers score to 3-0.
 
Rohan Sachdev's opponent retired after the match had been split in sets, clinching the win for Purdue, 4-0. It was Sachdev's first career clinching performance. 
 
Purdue shut Indiana out for the first time since May 24, 1949, a 9-0 victory.

The Boilermakers will return home next weekend to face Penn State on Friday, April 2nd.
