Freshmen Lead the Way as Dual Schedule Resumes

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – True Freshmen accounted for 10 of the 26 victories as Purdue swimming & diving swept Friday's co-ed dual with the Indiana State women and Wabash College men.

The Boilermakers won 30 of the 32 events. Kate Beavon, Masy Folcik, Hannah Hill, Lindsay Turner and Luke Fortner all were victorious in a pair of individual events.

Sam Bennett (3-meter diving), Connor McCarthy (200 free), Madeline Greaves (200 IM), Jenna Sonnenberg (1-meter diving) and Fortner (breaststroke sweep) all posted their first collegiate victories Friday.

Folcik, Hill and Turner all contributed to a relay winner to go along with their two individual event victories.
