<br /><br />WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's golf team struggled a bit in its opening round, but turned it on early in the second round before weather halted play at the Purdue Fall Invite.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's golf team struggled a bit in its opening round, but turned it on early in the second round before weather halted play at the Purdue Fall Invite.
 
The teams were called off the course at 5:02 p.m. ET, after threatening weather approached Kampen Course, ending Monday's play in the second round with about 10-11 holes to play.
 
The teams will attempt to finish play Tuesday morning (shotgun start time TBA) with the conclusion of the second round and the third and final round following that.
 
After 18 holes, Purdue was in third place at 5-over par 293, four shots behind Indiana. However, Purdue started the second round with a flurry and currently sit in a second-place tie at even-par, one shot behind Indiana.
 
Leading the Boilermakers is sophomore Herman Sekne, who currently sits in fourth place at 3-under par. Sekne shot an even-par 72 in the opening round, but recorded four birdies on the first seven holes to offset one bogey early in his second round.
 
Joe Weiler and Cole Bradley are tied for 10th at even-par. Bradley was tied for eighth after 18 holes with an even-par 72, remaining at even-par through eight holes in his second round. Weiler shot a 2-over par 74 in the first round, but is 2-under par through his first eight holes in the second round.
 
Nick Dentino is currently tied for 28th at 3-over par. He totaled a 75 in the opening round and is even-par through eight holes in the second round.
 
Andrew Farraye is tied for 55th, currently at 7-over par. He shot a 78 in the opening round.
 
Playing as an individual, Nels Surtani is tied for second at 4-under par, after an opening-round 70. He is 2-under par through eight holes in his second round.
 
Peyton Snoeberger is tied for 17th (1-over par), Nic Hofman is tied for 37th (4-over), Kent Hsiao is tied for 42nd (5-over) and Luke Prall is tied for 68th (10-over).
