SARASOTA, Fla. – The women's golf team finished 11th in the team standings at the inaugural ARLTWF Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Boilermakers carded a 15-over 303 in the third round. The Founders Club played particularly tough over the final 18 holes, as only three of the 15 teams in the field managed to shoot par or better Tuesday.
Highlights from Purdue's day included an eagle on the par-5 18th by junior Danielle du Toit and three consecutive birdies by du Toit's classmate Thitapa Pakdeesettakul.
Individually, sophomore Kan Bunnabodee was Purdue's top finisher in the 54-hole event, carding a 4-over 220 to finish in a tie for 22nd in the player standings.
Oklahoma State won the team title in Sarasota, shooting a 6-under 282 in the final round to overtake two-day leader Mississippi. OSU's Maja Stark took the individual medalist honors, posting a three-day score of 15-under 201.
The Boilermakers return to action Feb. 22-23 at the ICON Invitational in Houston. Purdue has finished second as a team in each of the last three ICON Invitationals. Sifat Sagoo was second individually last year.
