HOUSTON – Women's golf finished ninth in the team standings at the ICON Invitational on Tuesday. The Boilermakers wrapped up the 54-hole tournament 9-over par as a team.
Individually, Kan Bunnabodee fired a 5-under par 67 in the final round Tuesday to match Thitapa Pakdeesettakul's 67 yesterday in the second round. The score is tied for the 12th lowest for 18 holes in program history. Pakdeesettakul finished the three rounds 3-under par (71-67-75=213) and in a tie for 12th in the individual standings. Bunnabodee's final round run lowered her to even-par (76-73-67=216) for the tournament and into a tie for 19th
Senior Inez Wanamarta closed out the final round with a 2-under 70 to place her in a tie for 40th among the individuals (74-77-70=221).
Baylor won the team title with a 54-hole score of 24-under par 840. Oklahoma State's Rita Tatematsu, won the medalist honors with a 14-under 202.
Purdue will next see action March 13-14 at the Valspar Invitational in August, Georgia.
