BLOOMINGTON, Ind. Greg Duncan soared to the 3-meter diving title for Purdue at the Big Ten Championships, winning the event in dominant fashion by 34 points Friday.

Duncan won his fourth career medal at Big Tens, improving to 4-for-4 in springboard success while adding a gold to his trio of bronzes. He won with a list score of 448.20 in the championship final. He also dominated the prelim, winning it by 19 points as the only diver to register a 400-point list. Big scores of 89.25 and 94.5 on a reverse 3 ½ somersault tuck in round 3 of both the prelim and final highlighted his lists.

The Purdue men claimed a Big Ten title for the sixth consecutive year. Steele Johnson, Brandon Loschiavo and Duncan have teamed up to win five Big Ten championships in diving over the last four years. Dating back to 2008, Purdue divers (men and women) have brought home 18 conference titles.

Trent Pellini finished among the top five in the A final of the 100 breaststroke for the second year in a row, placing fifth Friday. He also helped the Boilermakers break their second relay record of the meet. Purdue's 200 freestyle relay team posted a time of 1:17.61, eclipsing a mark that had stood since 2012.

Pellini teamed with Nikola Aćin, Ryan Hrosik and Ryan Lawrence on the record-setting relay. Hrosik led the way with an impressive 50 split of 19.06 on the second leg. Aćin and Pellini have been part of both relay records this week. Aćin has now contributed to all five relay records over the last two seasons. Pellini is part of four, all but the 400 free relay. That's the final event of the meet Saturday evening but Pellini is not eligible to be part of it having already been on four relays this week.

Ben Bramley (3-meter), Michael Juengel (100 back), Brett Riley (400 IM), Nathan Barsanti (100 fly) and Nick Sherman (100 breast) joined Duncan and Pellini as Boilermakers to score in individual events Friday. Riley and Barsanti both moved into eighth place in program history with their career-best times.

With Emily Bretscher also winning the Big Ten title on 3-meter last week, the Boilermakers produced male and female Big Ten champions in the same year for the first time since 2009.

The Big Ten Championships conclude Saturday with prelims at 11 a.m. ET and finals at 6:30 p.m. The finals session will be streamed live on the Fox Sports app and website.
