LPC Classic Final Results
RIO GRANDE, P.R. – The women's golf team wrapped up the 18th-annual Lady Puerto Rico Classic with a 5-over par 293 in the third and final round Tuesday. The Boilermakers finished sixth out of 15 teams in the field with a three-day total of 13-over par 877.
Individually, freshman Sifat Sagoo finished tied for eighth with an even-par 216 for the tournament. Sagoo's effort was her first career top 10 finish and the second-lowest 54-hole score of the season for the Boilermakers.
Sophomore Danielle du Toit's impressive third round Tuesday, a 2-under par 70, vaulted her into a tie for 19th in the final standings at 4-over par 220. It was her seventh career top 20 finish.
Freshman Kan Bunnabodee tied for 22nd overall with a three-round total of 5-over par 221. She completed the third round Tuesday 1-over at 72.
Northwestern, which shot an 8-under par 280 Tuesday, took home the team title with a three-round score of even-par 864. The Wildcats' Irene Kim was the medalist, finishing 9-under par 207.
The Boilermakers will next be in action Feb. 24-25 when they head to the Icon Invitational in The Woodlands, Texas.
