SEATTLE, Wash. – The Purdue women's tennis team dropped its road match at No. 23 Washington on Saturday afternoon 6-1.
Purdue trailed after the doubles session with matching 6-3 defeats at No. 1 and 2. Alex Sabe and Ena Babic kept a tight fight against Zoey Weil and Delara Zamani at No. 3, but the match was called with the hosts leading 6-5.
In singles play, Zala Dovnik gave the Boilermakers their lone point of the match to tie proceedings at 1-1. The junior dominated her match at No. 6 against Ashley Chang 6-1, 6-2.
