Dive-by-Dive Scoring/Live Scoring
INDIANAPOLIS – A victory for Emily Meaney and a 400-point list coupled with a runner-up showing for Ben Bramley headlined the platform diving action for the Boilermakers on Friday at IUPUI's House of Champions Invitational.
Meaney led the way as the Purdue women finished 1-3-4 in the nine-diver event. Maycey Vieta took third and Maggie Merriman was fourth. Meaney finished atop the leaderboard in both the prelim and final. Her five-dive list score of 303.40 was a team season best. Previously, Meaney and Vieta competed on the platforms as part of an exhibition event in the Oct. 25 dual vs. Notre Dame.
Bramley improved on his prelim score by 45.65 points in the final, but finished 3.6 points behind Miami's Max Flory. Just one tenth of a point separated the two entering the sixth and final round, when Flory outscored Bramley 67.5 to 64.
Bramley earned a score of 80 on his first dive of his finals list. It was his top-scoring dive of the day.
Meaney's score of 67.2 in round 2 of the final was the Purdue women's top-scoring dive of the day.
Saturday's schedule features the women competing on 1-meter and the men on 3-meter.
