SUNSET, S.C. -
Due to inclement weather the final round of the Clemson Invitational was canceled Tuesday, leaving the Purdue women's golf team with a 13th-place finish at six-over 582 after 36 holes at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. The Boilermakers were in the midst of a stellar final round of play Tuesday before thunderstorms halted action, sitting at seven-under par through 15 holes and tied for seventh place in the team standings.

Vanderbilt claims the team title at 21-under par after two rounds, while Auburn's Julie McCarthy and Tennessee's Micheala Williams share medalist honors. The Commodores remained in the team lead through nine holes on Tuesday, while Williams had taken a commanding lead at 11-under par through 12 holes.

The Boilermakers sank 16 birdies through 15 holes Tuesday, with four of their five players under par in the round. Freshman Danielle du Toit accounted for five birdies, sitting three-under par and having birdied two of her last three before the weather delay, while junior Micaela Farah was two under with birdies on No. 2 and No. 4 coming down the stretch. Sophomore Inez Wanamarta and senior Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri were both at one-under par, while freshman RuQing Guan was just off the pace at one-over par despite a pair of birdies.

Purdue returns home to West Lafayette, where they'll host the Lady Boilermaker Classic on Saturday and Sunday at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course. The six-team field will serve as a final primer before the 2019 Big Ten Championships, set for April 19-21 at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio.
