WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue women's tennis took down Rutgers 5-2 in its final regular-season match Sunday at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
The Boilermakers took the doubles point in two matches. At the No. 1 position, No. 46 Silvia Ambrosio and Amina Mukhametshina took down Kat Muzik and Maya Jacobs 6-3. Caitlin Calkins and Seira Shimizu secured the doubles point at the No. 2 position with a 6-4 victory over Sydney Kaplan and Tess Fisher.
In singles play, Zala Dovnik swept both her matches 6-0, 6-0 against Kristiana Zahare at the No. 6 position.

Ena Babic claimed the final Boilermaker point with her 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Tess Fisher.
The Boilermakers (10-12, 5-6) close out the regular season with three consecutive wins and five in the final six matches. Next up is the Big Ten Tournament beginning Thursday in Lincoln, Nebraska.
