WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
The final round of the 2019 Lady Boilermaker Classic was canceled Sunday due to inclement weather at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course. The teams gave it a shot despite the rain and high winds in the forecast, but lightning strikes and excessive rain pushed them off the course after about 12 holes of golf and ended the tournament. With scores reverting to Saturday's 36-hole totals, Indiana takes the tournament title at four-under par led by individual medalist Mary Parsons, who shot eight-under par.

The conditions made low scores nearly impossible Sunday as sophomore Inez Wanamarta had the top individual score of the front nine at two-over par, and started to close the gap against Parsons on the back nine. Both the Boilermakers and Hoosiers were shooting around 13-over par in the final round before the horn chased the teams into the clubhouse.

The Boilermakers enter the postseason next week, heading to TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio for the 2019 Big Ten Championships. Play will start Friday morning and includes 54 holes over the weekend.
