No. 3 doubles Seira Shimizu and Zala Dovnik began the match off strong, defeating Chiara Lommer and Bella Lorenzini 6-1.
In singles play, at the No. 2 spot, sophomore Ena Babic upset No. 36 Brienne Minor 6-4, 6-4.
In an unfinished match, Dovnik was on pace to defeat Lorenzini 7-5, 5-2.
No. 33 Silvia Ambrosio looked to upset No. 4 Kate Fahey at the No. 1 spot, winning the first set 6-3 before ending the match unfinished 6-3, 3-6. 0-2.
The Boilermakers (5-9, 0-3) play at Wisconsin on Sunday beginning at noon ET.
