Purdue got strong performances from its top three spots in the lineup, led by a historic performance from Jarle Volden.
Volden recorded an 8-under par 64 to move 50 spots on the individual leaderboard to 11th place at 3-under par 141 (77-64=141). The 64 is tied for the third-best round in school history and tied a course record at The Grove Club.
Volden, who recorded eight birdies and no bogeys on his round, now holds a tournament record at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate (2017) and an 18-hole scoring record at the Intercollegiate at the Grove (2018).
Timmy Hildebrand continued his remarkable fall campaign, currently in a fifth-place tie at 5-under par 139 (70-69=139). The round marked his fifth round already this fall in the 60s and seven of his 11 rounds have been even or under par.
Cole Bradley is tied for 8th at 4-under par 140 (71-69=140). Bradley has now been under par in each of his last three rounds dating to the Windon Memorial Classic.
Joe Weiler is tied for 41st at 4-over par 148 (76-72=148), while Thomas Lewis is tied for 69th at 14-over par 158 (84-74=158). Playing as an individual, Jason Hong is tied for 52nd at 6-over par 150 (76-74=150).
Purdue will be paired with Louisville in tomorrow's final round, teeing off from 12:28 to 1:08 p.m. ET, off hole No. 1.
