Round 2 Results / Round 3 Live Scoring
LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Timmy Hildebrand shot a 5-under par 139 through 36 holes to pace the Purdue men's golf team at the Windon Memorial Classic held at the Knollwood Club.
Hildebrand totaled rounds of 66 and 73 for 36-hole total of 5-under par 139 to find himself just two shots out of first after the opening two rounds. UC Davis' Thomas Hutchison leads at 7-under par 137 (64-73), while three players are tied at 6-under par 138.
His opening-round 66 marked his fourth round in the 60s already this year and was the 19th-best, 18-hole score in school history. Five of his eight rounds this year have been even or under par, and he carries a season average of 70.25 into Monday's third round.
However, Hildebrand was the lone bright spot for the Boilermakers. Purdue struggled to get anything going on the par-72 layout as Hildebrand's first-round score was the only score lower than 73 on the opening day.
Joe Weiler and Cole Bradley are tied for 44th at 4-over par 148 after identical rounds of 75-73. Freshman Andrew Farraye is 78th at 11-over par 155 (78-77), while redshirt freshman Matt Lloyd is tied for 79th at 12-over par 156 (79-77).
Thomas Lewis, playing as an individual, is tied for 63rd at 8-over par 152 (75-77).
The Boilermakers were hurt on the par-5s, ranking 14th in the field in par-5 scoring (-4) and 11th in par-4 scoring (+26).
Purdue will be paired with Michigan and Indiana in the final round, teeing off at 9 a.m. ET, off hole No. 10.
