Box Score

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Purdue (4-19) fell 1-0 in a pitchers duel to Drake (15-9) in its final game of the weekend at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex. Kaitlynn Moody threw her second complete game in as many days.

Overall, Moody had a sensational weekend in the circle for Purdue as she threw 18 innings and allowed just three earned runs. She earned wins against Saint Francis and Pacific but wasn't able to get the run support she needed against Drake. The junior was efficient, needing just 75 pitches to get through seven innings against the Bulldogs. She allowed just three hits and 16 of the 21 recorded outs were recorded by the infield as she was inducing poor contact throughout the contest. With her efforts over the weekend, Moody lowers her ERA to 3.32 on the season.

Purdue managed to get just three runners on base with Lexi Huffman recorded the lone hit of the game for the Boilermakers.

The Boilermakers shift their focus to the UCR Classic beginning March 16 in Riverside, California, where they will wrap up non-conference play.
