WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ââ'¬" The Purdue women's tennis team completed the weekend sweep after dealing Wisconsin a 5-2 defeat Sunday outdoors at the Schwartz Tennis Center. The two victories this weekend mark the first time this season that Purdue has won two consecutive conference matches. With the win, the Boilermakers improved to 11-11, 4-5 Big Ten, while Wisconsin dropped to 6-13, 3-7 Big Ten.

In doubles action, the No. 75 team of Andjela Djokovic and Nicole Robinson gave Purdue the early advantage with a 6-2 victory over the Wisconsin tandem of Lauren Chypyha and Lauren Burich, pushing their spring record to 7-4 while winning five of their last six matches.

The No. 2 Boilermaker duo of Krisztina Kapitany and Marta Ruedas-Burgos clinched the doubles point after defeating the Badger pair of Ekaterina Stepanova and Sydney Rider 6-3.

Ruedas-Burgos struck first for the Boilermakers at the No. 5 singles position, defeating Wisconsin's Sydney Rider 6-3, 6-1. Robinson followed Ruedas-Burgos' lead with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over No. 54 Lauren Chypyha, making it her first win over a ranked opponent this season. The victory also marked the highest ranked opponent defeated by a Purdue player this season.

Purdue clinched the match thanks to a 6-1, 7-5 victory from Natalia Davila at the No. 4 singles position over Kelsey Grambeau of Wisconsin. The junior picked up her third consecutive win to move to 12-5 in spring play, including a 4-2 mark in the Big Ten.

After falling in her first set 6-1, Djokovic battled back to win the next two sets 7-5, 6-4 against Wisconsin's Kendall Kirsch after the match was clinched. The Badgers closed out play by taking the No. 6 contest in a third-set tiebreaker.

Purdue returns to the Schwartz Tennis Center on April 22 to play host to Penn State for a 2 p.m. ET start.
