WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ââ'¬" No. 37 Tulsa defeated No. 51 Purdue 4-0 in women's tennis action Sunday on the Basham Courts at the Schwartz Tennis Center. The Boilermakers' record slipped to 7-5 with the loss.

In doubles action, Tulsa jumped out first with a 6-3 victory from their No. 1 team of Renata Kuricova and Ksenia Laskutova over Andjela Djokovic and Nicole Robinson. The Boilermaker duo of Claudia Escribens and Natalia Davila evened the playing field at 1-1 by defeating Saana Saarteinen and Mahitha Dadireddy in a 6-3 decision.

The doubles point came down to No. 2. After being down 5-3 to Tulsa's Martha Matoula and Rongrong Leenabancho, Krisztina Kapitany and Marta Ruedas-Burgos fought back to tie the match at 5-5. The Golden Hurricane pair went on to take the match 7-5 and claim the point.

Tulsa's single's lineup proved to be too much for the Boilermakers, winning at Nos. 1, 3 and 2 in straight sets.

Purdue returns to action Wednesday at the Schwartz Tennis Center in its final non-conference dual match of the season to take on Notre Dame at 3 p.m. ET.
