TULSA, Okla. ââ'¬" A third-set victory by Arthur Dobradin capped off Purdue's comeback upset of No. 63 Wichita State on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The win, the first over a ranked team for the Boilermakers since beating No. 16 Penn State 6-1 on April 11, 2014, pushed their record to 4-1. With the loss, the Shockers moved to 4-2.

It appeared the dual match victory was going to go Wichita State's way. The Shockers built a 3-0 lead by taking the doubles point with wins at Nos. 1 and 3 by scores 6-2 and 6-1, respectively, and taking straight setters at singles Nos. 1 and 4.

Mateus Silva lit the comeback spark with a straight-set win of his own in the No. 6 spot, disposing of Eddie Stoica 6-2, 6-4. Benjamin Ugarte narrowed the gap and made it 3-2 by going the distance vs. Miroslav Herzan 6-1, 1-6, 6-3.

Three was the magic number for Ricky Medinilla. Playing at the No. 3 spot, he rebounded from a 6-3 first-set loss to Jocelyn Devilliers to take the next two by matching set scores of 6-3. The Boilermakers evened the dual match at 3-3 thanks to Medinilla's win, leaving it all on the outcome of at No. 5.

Dobradin and Haru Inoue exchanged the first two sets 6-4 to force a decisive third. The veteran delivered in the clutch, posting a 6-3 third set to clinch the comeback and the upset.

The Boilermakers are right back in action Sunday, eyeing another upset, when they go up against No. 23 Tulsa at 11 a.m. ET.
