- With their singles and doubles lineups not changing this weekend, the Boilermakers now have a combined doubles record of 11-3 and a singles record of 25-9.

- The No. 3 doubles group of Natalia Davila/Claudia Escribens is now 5-0 on the season ... the tandem has only given up 13 games in five completed matches.

- Krisztina Kapitany remains undefeated in singles at 6-0 ... both of Kapitany's victories this weekend were in straight sets.

- It was the first-ever meeting between the Boilermakers and Penn ... the Quakers became the 148th all-time opponent in program history.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The 45th-ranked Purdue women's tennis team finished up their final day of competition at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend with a 4-0 victory over Penn on Sunday at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility. The win lifted the Boilermakers' early season record to 5-1.

In doubles action, Purdue started slow with a loss at the No. 1 spot as Deborah Suarez and Krisztina Kapitany fell to Penn's duo of Kana Daniel and Sonya Latycheva 6-2. The Boilermakers rallied back with victories coming from the remaining doubles teams.

Marta Ruedas-Burgos and Andjela Djokovic defeated the Quakers' No. 2 doubles team of Ria Vaidya and Marta Kowalska 6-3. The point was clinched when Purdue's Natalia Davila and Claudia Escribens defeated Lina Qostal and OJ Singh with a 6-4 decision in the No. 3 spot.

Ruedas-Burgos kept the momentum going into singles action with a 6-2, 6-3 straight-set victory over Singh. Davila and Kapitany followed by defeating each of their opponents by a score of 6-4, 6-0 at the Nos. 4 and 3, respectively.

Purdue returns to action when they travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for a pair of duals Jan. 30 and 31. The Boilermakers will face No. 75 Kansas on Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. ET, followed by No. 34 Arkansas on Jan. 31 at noon.
