WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. --The Purdue women's tennis team wrapped up competition in the Purdue Invite on Sunday at the Schwartz Tennis Center on both the outdoor courts and inside on the Basham Courts.
Claudia Escribens came out of the final day with two straight-set victories, beating Memphis' Tara McElroy and Sena Suswam of Louisville 6-2, 6-3 and 7-5, 6-4, respectively. The senior finished the tournament undefeated in singles with a record of 4-0.
The Boilermakers return to action when they play host to the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships Oct. 15-19.
