MTEN Wraps Up First Fall Tournament

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Purdue men's tennis team wrapped up play in the Purdue Invitational at the Schwartz Tennis Center on Sunday. Six Boilermakers were in action during the third and final day of the event, including semifinalists Lucas Dages and Arthur Dobradin.

In Flight B, Dobradin lost a tough battle to Tennessee's Jess Jones 7-6 (1), 7-6 (2). Dages, who was in Flight D, was dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Dayton's Simon Jayram. Both Boilermakers finished the tournament with a 2-1 mark.

Picking up a win for Purdue was Matt Bouggy. The junior prevailed in the superbreaker 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 against Dayton's Graham Reinbold in the consolation round of Flight F. Bouggy finished the tournament with a singles record of 2-1.

Up next for the Boilermakers is the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma, starting Saturday.
