He was a three-time All-American and NCAA Championships qualifier and a three-time Academic All-District V selection. Bissett earned third team Academic All-America recognition last year and is on the ballot again this year.

Bissett has compiled a 3.88 grade-point average as a health sciences/pre-med major. He plans to continue his studies at a postgraduate medical school. The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship features a $7,500 award to help with the cost of graduate school.
