WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue head coach Darrell Hazell announced that Andrew Warsaw has been hired as the director of football operations. He replaces Casey Nuss in the position.
"Andrew is a rising star in the operations profession," Hazell said. "He's very bright, organized and has a passion and energy that our players will feed off of. He will work extremely well with all facets that touch our football program."
Warsaw spent the previous three seasons at the University of Arizona as the football program's operations coordinator. His duties there included day-to-day operations, travel coordination, player personnel and recruiting logistics.
He has also worked at Fordham, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Penn and Villanova. Penn was the 2010 Ivy League champions while he was there and Villanova won the 2011 FCS national championship.
A 2009 graduate of the University of West Virginia, he spent four seasons as a student manager with the Mountaineers, helping to plan and prep for 2006 Fiesta Bowl and the 2008 Meineke Car Care Bowl.
He and his wife, Ashley, have a son, Alden.
