WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermakers were back at it after a week off for spring break. The team had a high-energy practice in helmets and shoulder pads to pick things back up. The team also announced one change to the spring practice schedule, as the Boilermakers will head to Indianapolis' Arsenal Tech High School on April 9.

The team continued to work on 50-50 balls, where the quarterbacks throw deep to wide receivers in single coverage with the defensive backs. The offensive line continued to work on technique, including explosive hands and footwork. The ongoing themes for the guys up front are developing depth and working to get to the second level.

Head coach Darrell Hazell was pleased with the tempo and energy of the practice.

"I thought the guys were flying around," Hazell said. "It was very spirited. I thought the execution was pretty good and retention was very good of what they learned before they left. It was a step forward."

The offensive line had a chance to talk to the media after practice. Boilermaker All-Access caught up with left guard Jason King and left tackle David Hedelin after practice. Offensive line coach Jim Bridge also talked to the media. Those interviews, including Hazell's, can be found below.

Purdue announced that the team will practice April 9th at Arsenal Tech High School's Howard Longshore Stadium, located at 1500 East Michigan Street in Indianapolis. The practice is scheduled to run from 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

The Boilermakers have 11 more springs practices, all of which are free and open to the public. Other than the April 9 practice, the weekday practices will be held either indoors at Mollenkopf or, weather permitting, outside at the Bimel Complex and begin at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET. Each practice will be about two hours long. Saturday scrimmage times are still to be announced, but will be held in Ross-Ade Stadium. The remaining practice schedule is below.
