WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Tomorrow is Military Appreciation Day at the Purdue-Wisconsin football game.
More than 100 current and former members of the military will form a tunnel as the Boilermakers take the field prior to the game. Members of the Entrepreneurial Business Veterans group also will be on the field pregame.
During the game, those men and women who are serving or have served in each branch of the United States Armed Forces will be recognized.
During halftime, an enlistment ceremony will take place for 52 individuals who have made the commitment to serve our country. Also at halftime, the "All-American" Marching Band show will be a military tribute entitled "All-American Armed Forces Salute."
Throughout the game, the video board will feature thank-you messages from head coach Darrell Hazell and the coaching staff to family members and others who are or have been defenders of our freedom.
The team will wear helmets featuring American flag-themed motion P's; red, white and blue stripes; and the words "United We Stand." American flags will fly atop Ross-Ade Stadium.
Kickoff is noon for the Boilermakers (3-6, 1-4 B1G) and the 25th-ranked Badgers (6-2, 3-1).
