Final Round of Sagamore Fall Preview Canceled Due to Heavy Rain

Oct. 14, 2014 - Final Results | Round Two Release

The third round of the Sagamore Fall Preview was canceled due to heavy rain.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- The third and final round of the Sagamore Fall Preview was canceled this morning after heavy rains fell at the Sagamore Golf Club making conditions unplayable. The scores will revert back to round two scores and the Boilermakers will finish eighth in the 14-team event.

Eight teams were able to get on the course this morning, but heavy rain started falling just about 30 minutes after play began. With the forecast for more rain to fall throughout the course of the day, tournament officials decided to cancel the final round and complete the tournament with 36-hole scores.

The Boilermakers fired rounds of 298-300=598 to finish eighth at 22-over par. Austin Eoff (12th), Fernando Barco (20th) and Justin Cho (20th; Individual) all recorded top-20 finishes for the Boilermakers. It marks the first time in the "regular season" that the Boilermakers have finished outside the top half during the two years of the Rob Bradley era.

The Boilermakers will close out the fall season on Oct. 25-26 with the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C.
