Boilermakers litter the top of the leaderboard, as Purdue has three players in the tournament's top five and another in a 15th-place tie. All told, all six Boilermakers competing currently sit in the top 33.
Leading the charge is sophomore Philippe Schweizer, who is actually competing this weekend as an individual. Schweizer turned in an even-par 72 today to sit in fourth at 2-over par 146 (74-72). Schweizer had six birdies, six pars and six bogeys on the day and was 2-over par through 15 holes, before birdies on holes 16 and 17 moved him to even par for the afternoon.
Classmate Austin Eoff and senior Ben-Marvin Egel are tied for fifth at 3-over par 147.
Eoff overcame back-to-back double bogeys on holes 5 and 6 to shoot a 2-over par 74 (73-74=147). Eoff recorded five birdies during his final 12 holes of round two.
Egel, meanwhile, recorded a 1-over par 73 and is also at 3-over par 147 (74-73). Egel eagled the par-5 2nd hole and was even-par entering the final hole, before a bogey on No. 18 sent him to over-par for his round.
Senior Enzo Perez is in a 15th-place tie at 5-over par 149 (76-73). Perez was 2-under par through 15 holes, but suffered a double bogey and a bogey on 16 and 18, respectively, to drop him off the pace.
Stuart Macdonald overcame a tough front nine to record a 78 and sit in 26th place at 7-over par 151 (73-78). Macdonald was 7-over par through the first five holes, but played the last 13 holes in 1-under par to finish his day at 6-over par 78.
Sophomore Fernando Barco is in 33rd place at 9-over par 153 (73-80). Barco was 3-over par after 13 holes, but played the last five holes in 5-over par to finish with an 80.
Winthrop's Zach Seabolt continues to lead after a second-round 72 (even). He currently is at 6-under par 136, five shots clear of Houston's Vincent Martino.
The Boilermakers will be paired with Winthrop and Virginia tomorrow morning and will tee off at 9:31 AM (CT) / 10:31 AM (ET) on Sunday morning.
