HONOLULU -- Guillermo Blanco and Allie Davis each won a pair of events to lead the Purdue swimming and diving teams to a pair of outdoor dual meet victories at Hawaii Saturday afternoon in the Boilermakers' first meet since November.

The No. 20 Purdue women won all 12 events to cruise to a 146-91 victory in the team scoring. The Purdue men were winners in nine of the 12 events to pull out a 134-103 victory in the team scoring. The abbreviated co-ed dual meet only featured 200-yard races in the backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and IM events. The 1-meter springboard was the lone diving event contested.

The Purdue women improved to 5-0 in dual meet action while the Purdue men improved their dual meet record to 5-1. The Boilermakers have been in Honolulu the last few weeks for their winter training trip.

Davis won the women's 200 and 500 freestyle and Blanco touched first in the men's 200 back and 200 IM. Carly Mercer won the 50 free and contributed to Purdue's relay winners in the 200 medley and 400 free team events.

Filip Bujoczek out touched Hawaii's Victor Goicoechea by .21 hundredths of a second to win the 1000 free with a Purdue season-best time of 9:12.73, a mark that ranks fourth in program history. Nika Karlina Petric (10:03.96) also posted a new Purdue season-best time while winning the 1000 free. Casey Matthews recorded a team season-best mark as well while winning the women's 1-meter diving.

The Purdue women had at least the top three finishers in seven of the nine individual swimming events. Hannah Manger (200 back), Francesca Marr (200 breast), Meagan Lim (200 IM) and Grace Hernandez (100 free) all won an individual event and contributed to a relay winner.

The Purdue men were also part of exciting finishes in the 50 free and 200 fly. Austin Flager out touched Matt Friede by one hundredth of a second to win the 50 free and deny Friede a sweep of the freestyle sprints. Friede won the 100 free with a personal season-best time of 44.99. Eduard Galdeano out touched Hawaii's Eduardo Guimaraes by six hundredths of a second to win the 200 fly and post his first victory of the season along with his best time.

Layne Rogers (1-meter diving) and Lyam Dias (200 breast) were individual winners for the Boilers as well. Dias also swam on the victorious 200 medley relay team with Stephen Seliskar, Flager and Danny Tucker.

The Purdue men and women return to action next weekend when they host Michigan and Michigan State for co-ed dual meets at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center on back-to-back days.
