WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- No. 18 Purdue women's swimming and diving holds a lead one-point lead on No. 25 Wisconsin after the opening night of the two-day Big Ten Triple Duals at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center Friday evening.

The start time for day two of the meet has been moved up to 10 a.m. (from noon) due to more snow in the forecast. Purdue's senior salute ceremony will now be held after the meet instead of beforehand as originally scheduled. Eight swimming events and an exhibition (non-scoring) platform diving competition are on the schedule for Saturday.

Michelle Cabassol was victorious in the 3-meter diving competition after placing third from the 1-meter springboard earlier in the night. Allie Davis managed to post a new team season-best time (9:57.35) in the 1000 free this season while finishing as the runner-up in the event. Lew Gerbrandt won her heat of the 200 butterfly.

Casey Matthews finished as the runner-up in women's 1-meter diving and did not compete from the 3-meter springboard.

Francesca Marr (100 breast & 200 IM) and Davis (200 & 1000 free) were the top finishers for the Boilers in a pair of events.
