CLEMSON, S.C. - No. 27 Purdue made easy work of No. 56 Fresno State by posting a 4-0 shutout in a consolation match Sunday at the sixth annual ITA Kick-Off Weekend hosted by Clemson. The Boilermakers evened their early season record at 1-1 after suffering a 4-3 setback to No. 32 Tennessee Saturday.

Purdue assumed control of the dual match right out of the gate. Natalia Davila and Nicole Robinson cruised past the Bulldog duo of Sophie Watts and Anne Susdorf, 6-1, while playing in the No. 3 doubles position to improve their mark to 2-1. Krisztina Kapitany and Mara Schmidt picked up their fifth win by mirroring their score while taking down the No. 41 tandem of Aishwarya Agrawal and Claire Yang at No. 1 to secure the doubles point for the second consecutive match.

Robinson, a freshman hailing from West Palm Beach, Fla., improved to 3-2 in singles play as the first Boilermaker to finish with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Sofya Malysheva at No. 4. Junior Lynda Xepoleas (3-1) followed with a straight-set 6-3, 6-1 upset of Watts, who is ranked 104th. The match came to an end with Daniela Vidal's 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 3 spot over Susdorf for the sixth win of her junior campaign.

The Boilermakers return to action on Feb. 1 by hosting No. 30 TCU at 12 p.m. ET on the Basham Courts at the Schwartz Tennis Center. For the first time in program history, the dual match will be streamed live on the Big Ten Digital Network.
