LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Purdue men's tennis players Lucas Dages and Matt Bouggy competed in the Flight A Consolation Doubles and Red Division Singles Saturday at the Louisville Invitational. The third and final day of the tournament will start with doubles at 9 a.m. ET, with singles to follow. In addition to host Louisville, the tournament features players from Campbellsville, Illinois State, Indiana, Longwood, Morehead State, Middle Tennessee State, Kentucky and Vincennes.
After receiving a bye in the Flight A Consolation Quarterfinals, Dages and Bouggy moved on to face Edward Becker and Daniel Elston of Longwood in the semifinals, where they fell by the score of 8-2.
A Red Division singles draw was added to Saturday's schedule. Both freshmen Boilermakers played in the draw, but came up short as Louisville's Amaury Derognat topped Bouggy, 6-2, 6-0, and Ettore Zito of Middle Tennessee State defeated Dages, 6-1, 6-1.
