Men's Golf Takes Fourth at Boilermaker Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's golf team wrapped up a fourth-place showing at the Boilermaker Invitational on Sunday with a four-over 292.

The Boilermakers finished the event with a total of 881 (+17), just three shots in back of co-champions Iowa and Louisville.

Junior Adam Schenk wrapped up a strong tournament with his second 71 (-1) of the weekend, and moved from a tie for 14th into a tie for fourth in the final standings. His even-par total of 216 was just five shots off the winning pace.

Sophomore Justin Cho finished the tournament in 14th place with a total of 219 (+3) after shooting a three-over 75 on Sunday. Classmate Enzo Perez finished in a tie for 21st with a total of 222 (+6).

Senior Jakob Ziegler shot 71 (-1) on Sunday to finish the tournament in a tie for 49th place, while sophomore Ben-Marvin Egel placed in a tie for 56th with a total of 231 (+15).

The Boilermakers will return to action next weekend, when they compete for a conference title at the Big Ten Championships in French Lick, Ind.
