GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Purdue men's golf team shot a 305 on Sunday and finished the Furman Intercollegiate in tenth place.
Heavy rains in the morning delayed the start of the final round and set up for tough conditions all day. Early morning rain pushed tee times back to 10:15 a.m. with the Boilermakers in the first group of tee times.
The Boilermakers' total of 888 (+24) for the tournament was good enough for tenth place in the 21-team field.
Junior Adam Schenk turned in another strong round on Sunday, shooting a one-under 71 to finish in a tie for tenth place with a total of 215 (-1). The performance marked Schenk's fourth top-10 showing of the year, as well as his best 54-hole score of the season.
The Boilermakers will take this weekend off before resuming play the following weekend at the Insperity Augusta State Invitational in Augusta, Georgia.
