Men's Golf Ties for Second at Mission Inn Spring Spectacular

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The Purdue men's golf team shot a six-over 294 on Sunday and finished the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular in a tie for second place.

The Boilermakers' total of 871 (+7) for the tournament tied them with Virginia Tech for runner-up honors, just two strokes behind tournament winner Indiana.

Sophomore Enzo Perez turned in another strong round on Sunday, shooting a one-over 73 to finish in fourth place with a total of 215 (-1). The performance marked Perez's second top-10 showing of the year, as well as his best 54-hole score as a collegian.

Junior Adam Schenk posted his best round of the tournament on Sunday with a two-under 70. The closing effort moved Schenk into a tie for eighth place with a total of 218 (+2), earning his third top-10 of the campaign.

Redshirt freshman David Cooke tied for 13th place with a final score of 220 (+4). Sophomores Ben-Marvin Egel and Justin Cho finished in ties for 23rd and 32nd, respectively, with totals of 223 (+7) and 225 (+9).

Freshman Jonathan DiIanni, playing as an individual, finished in a tie for 35th with a mark of 226 (+10).

The Boilermakers will be in action again this weekend when they head to Greenville, S.C., to compete at the Furman Intercollegiate.
