BRADENTON, Fla. - The Purdue men's golf team finished eighth at the Big Ten Match Play Championship after dropping a pair of matches on Saturday.
The Boilermakers dropped a 3-0-2 decision to Indiana in their first match on Saturday. Senior Jakob Ziegler and junior Adam Schenk each halved their matches for the Old Gold & Black.
Purdue finished off the event with a 3-1-1 loss to Michigan in the seventh-place match. Ziegler picked up a 3&1 win over Noori Hyun and sophomore Ben-Marvin Egel halved his match against the Wolverines.
Purdue will be back in action when it hosts the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande from Feb. 17-19.
