WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Sam Ostarello had 14 points and 10 rebounds Thursday night to lead No. 14 Purdue to a 59-42 win over Indiana. It was the eighth double-double of the year for the senior and the 13th of her career.
KK Houser and April Wilson scored 12 points apiece for the Boilermakers (18-3, 7-1 Big Ten). Taylor Manuel added 11 points for Purdue, which held a 45-30 rebounding edge.
Linda Rubene scored 13 points and Aulani Sinclair scored 11 for Indiana (10-11, 1-7). Rubene and Sinclair each had a team-high six rebounds. The Hoosiers have dropped six straight.
Purdue's leading scorer, Courtney Moses was held scoreless for just the third time in her career. Most recently, Moses failed to score at UT Martin on Dec. 9, 2012.
The Boilermakers never trailed and opened up a quick 12-2 lead, but Indiana tied the game three times late in the first half, the last at 26 before Purdue scored the last six points of the half.
Purdue holds a 50-25 edge in the all-time series.
The Boilermakers will play at Penn State on Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. ET as part of the Big Monday lineup on ESPN2. The Lady Lions are leading the Big Ten and Purdue is in second place.
