HANOVER, N.H. - The Purdue men's tennis team picked up its second ranked victory in as many days on Sunday. The Boilermakers defeated No. 51 Brown, 4-2, in the Dartmouth Kickoff Classic.
The win improved the team's record to 7-0 which ties the best start in program history. The Boilermakers last achieved a 7-0 start in 2007. Purdue only had that same start one other time which was in 1992.
The Boilermakers started the morning with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 in doubles to clinch the point. In singles, Purdue picked up wins at Nos. 2, 5, and 6 while Brown won at No. 3 and No. 4. The No. 1 singles match was abandoned after Mark Kovacs clinched the win for Purdue in three sets at No. 2.

Purdue improves to 3-0 all-time against Brown. The Boilermakers also won in 2001 and 2002.
The Boilermakers seek the best start in program history on Saturday at 7 p.m. at No. 53 Denver. Purdue and Denver are tied in the all-time series, 1-1, as the Boilermakers won in 2011 and the Pioneers were victorious last season, 5-2.
