Men's Golf Ties for Seventh at Jack Nicklaus Invitational

DUBLIN, Ohio - The Purdue men's golf team shot 39 (+21) on Tuesday and finished the Jack Nicklaus Invitational in a tie for seventh place.

The Boilermakers wrapped up the weather-shortened tournament with a total of 620 (+44).

After opening the day in a tie for 13th place, junior Adam Schenk posted one of just four red numbers in the field on Tuesday, a one-under 71 that moved him all the way into a tie for second place. The Vincennes, Ind., native finished the event with a total of 146 (+2).

Sophomores Enzo Perez and Justin Cho each finished in a tie for 28th with totals of 157 (+13), while freshman Jonathan DiIanni carded a total of 160 (+16) to tie for 44th. Redshirt freshman Edward Peters capped Purdue's lineup in a tie for 56th with a total of 170 (+26).

Freshman Stuart Macdonald, playing as an individual, earned a share of 28th place with a total of 157 (+13).

The Boilermakers will be idle until the end of the month, when they venture to Greensboro, N.C., for the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate. The tournament will be held from Oct. 27-28.
