OXFORD, Ohio -- Lyam Dias and Danny Tucker each won a pair of events and also swam on both relay winners, leading No. 18 Purdue men's swimming to a 192-103 dual meet victory at Miami (Ohio) Saturday afternoon.

The Boilermakers won all 16 events in their first dual meet of the new season. Guillermo Blanco swam fast throughout the meet, winning the 200 freestyle and 200 IM and also finishing second to Jan Petric in the 500 free. Stephen Seliskar was a two-time winner as well, touching first in the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly.

Dias swept the breaststroke events and swam the butterfly leg on the victorious 200 medley relay. Tucker swept the 50 and 100 freestyle sprints for the second Saturday in a row and finished out both relay wins as the anchor.

Seliskar's two victories highlighted what was an overall strong meet for the Purdue freshmen. Danny Conway won the 200 butterfly and finished second to Blanco in the 200 IM. Evan Barta (200 back) and Nate Hopkins (1000 free)were also victorious. Bo Ilgenfritz swam the breaststroke leg on the 200 medley relay winner.

"Today was a successful start to the dual meet season. With several freshmen winning events it was a very balanced team win," Purdue head coach Dan Ross said. "I would highlight Nate Hopkins winning the 1000 free, Stephen Seliskar the 100 fly, Danny Conway the 200 fly and Danny Tucker's continued success in sprints as well as being the anchor on our free relays. I like the energy the young guys are bringing to our team. We are balanced with good senior leadership, and I can't wait to see how that combo translates with brutal a road trip coming up next week."

Last Friday, freshman Layne Rogers also swept the 1- and 3-meter diving events contested at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. Purdue entered the swimming action Saturday with a 31-8 lead.

Petric captured the 500 free and finished second to Conway in the 200 fly. Jacob Robinson swam the leadoff backstroke leg on the victorious 200 medley relay and placed second behind Dias in the 100 back.

Purdue returns to action next weekend for road duals at Notre Dame (Friday at 5 p.m.) and Northwestern (Saturday at 2 p.m. ET).
