BATON ROUGE, La. - The Purdue men's golf team shot a collective 292 (+4) on Sunday to solidify a third-place finish at the LSU Invitational.
The Boilermakers finished the three-round event with a total of 877 (+13) to take third behind only LSU and Iowa, respectively, in the 12-team field.
Junior Jakob Ziegler was the headliner for Purdue on Sunday, posting a red number for the second-straight round with a three-under 69. The Berlin, Germany, native moved three spots up the leader board on Sunday to claim individual runner-up honors with a total of 211 (-5).
Senior Tyler Duncan also finished strong in Baton Rouge to earn a top-10 finish, shooting 73 (+1) on Sunday to grab a share of ninth place. Duncan finished with an even-par total of 216 for the weekend.
Freshman Justin Cho finished in a tie for 26th with a total of 224 (+8), while sophomore Adam Schenk wrapped up the weekend in a tie for 35th with a total of 226 (+10).
The Boilermakers will return to action next week, when they take part in the C.O.G. Mizzou Invitational in Columbia, Mo.
