WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - KK Houser had 18 points and six steals to lead No. 17 Purdue over IUPUI 75-45 in the season opener for both teams on Sunday.

Houser sparked a 15-2 run in the first half, scoring eight of her 10 first-half points during the surge. Her six steals are a career high.

Brittany Rayburn contributed 14 points and five rebounds, and Sam Ostarello recorded eight points, five rebounds and tied her career-high with four blocks for the Boilermakers, who have won 10-straight season openers.

Nevena Markovic scored 14 points and Clara Mitchell added 10 for the Jaguars.

IUPUI closed the first half on a 7-0 run, but Purdue regained control with an 8-0 burst to open the second half for 36-24 lead.

The Boilermakers outrebounded IUPUI 44-31 and limited the Jaguars to 26.2 percent (16-of-61) shooting, including just 16.7 percent (4-of-24) from three-point range.
