MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Purdue women's tennis team wrapped up its second day of play at the ITA Regional Championships hosted by Memphis on Saturday and several Boilermakers had nice showings and will advance.

The No. 14 seed in the main draw, freshman Lynda Xepoleas took down Morin of Kentucky, 6-0, 6-2. She will play on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. CT against Lee of Cincinnati. Imogen Golder also cruised her way through the first round. The junior topped Xavier's Patton, 6-2, 6-2. Golder will face the No. 9 seed, Fellerhoff of Louisville, also at 2:30.

Mara Schmidt needed three sets to move on to the second round. The sophomore dropped the first set, but rallied to beat Toti of Tennessee, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Schmidt will Hibberd of Memphis tomorrow at 3 p.m. CT. Daniela Vidal knocked of UT Martin's Van Zyl, 7-5, 6-1. The freshman will play tomorrow at 3 against Collins of Memphis. No. 6 seed Jennifer Rabot moved on to the second round with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Gray of Memphis. The Boilermaker senior plays on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. CT against Nurik of UTC.

Anna Dushkina, who advanced to the main draw after a pair of wins in the qualifying round, won against ETSU's Weilizzko, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. She also plays at 3:30 on Sunday against Mikesz of Memphis. Gisella Pere fell in the first round to Shine of Louisville, 6-1, 6-2. She drops to the back draw for the rest of the tournament.
