Men's Golf Ties For Third At Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate

VERONA, N.Y. - The Purdue men's golf team shot 300 as a group on Monday and finished in a tie for third at the season-opening Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate.

The Boilers, who deadlocked with host Missouri, finished the weekend with a total of 866 (+2).

Senior Tyler Duncan carded a 72 (E) on Monday to cap a tournament in which he shot at par or better in all three rounds. The Columbus, Ind., native finished in a tie for third place with a total of 211 (-5), marking the sixth top-10 showing of his career.

Sophomore Adam Schenk tallied a three-over 75 on Monday to finish with a total of 214 (-2), good for a seventh-place tie and the fifth top-10 finish of his career. Senior William Sjaichudin earned a share of 15th place with a total of 219 (+3) after a final-round 78 (+6), while junior Jakob Ziegler tied for 32nd with a score of 227 (+11) and redshirt freshman Enzo Perez finished in a tie for 46th with a mark of 230 (+14).

The Boilermakers will return to action next weekend, heading to Sugar Grove, Ill., for the Northern Intercollegiate on Saturday and Sunday.
