Boilermakers Tie For Seventh At Furman Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Purdue men's golf team shot 296 (+8) as a team on Sunday to finish the Furman Intercollegiate in a tie for seventh place. The Boilermakers wrapped up the tournament with a total of 879 (+15).

Junior William Sjaichudin fired his third-straight round at par or better on Sunday to capture the tournament's individual medal, wrapping up the tournament with a 72 (E). His three-day total of 206 (-10) was one stroke better than East Carolina's Harold Varner on the individual leader board.

Freshman Adam Schenk finished in a tie for 30th with a total of 220 (+6), senior Erich Johnston and freshman Edward Peters each tied for 85th with a score of 230 (+14) and sophomore Henry Plager tied for 101st with a mark of 233 (+17).

Purdue will return to action this weekend when it makes the short trip to Avon, Ind., for the Butler Spring Invitational.
