COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Danielle Adams tied a career high with 27 points despite early foul trouble and No. 7 Texas A&M cruised to a 100-55 victory over short-handed Purdue on Thursday night.
The Aggies (7-1) built a big lead in the first half and were up 63-35 with about 15 minutes remaining before using a 13-3 run to push their advantage to 76-38 with about 11 minutes left.
The Boilermakers (4-3) entered the game with two starters missing, point guard KK Houser who is out for the season with a torn ACL and Drey Mingo who is recovering from acute bacterial meningitis. Purdue became even more short handed when Brittany Rayburn was charged with a flagrant foul with 17:30 remaining in the second half for hitting Texas A&M's Sydney Carter with an elbow while trying to clear space with the ball. Rayburn was ejected from the game.
Courtney Moses led Purdue with 26 points and was the only Boilermaker in double-digits. The freshman point guard was 9 of 16 from the field, including 4 of 6 from the three-point line. Alex Guyton tied a career high with a game-high nine rebounds.
The Aggies came into the game shooting just 27.3 percent from three-point range but hit 10 of 17 threes for 58.8 percent. Texas A&M outscored Purdue 40-18 in the paint, scored 37 points off Purdue's season-high 26 turnovers while turning it over just nine times themselves and outrebounded Purdue 41-27, including 19 offensive boards that resulted in 24 second-chance points.
