WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A packed house of 2,474 were on hand in Holloway Gymansium to see history in the making Friday night as the Purdue volleyball team defeated No. 4 Penn State 3-2. Trailing 23-16, the Boilermakers paired a block by Turner and Arthurs with a Cramer set into the corner to make it 23-18 and prompt a PSU timeout. A kill and an ace, however, gave the Nittany Lions the 25-18 win.
