VERONA, N.Y. - Freshman Sam Fu finished play on Sunday in a tie for second place, and two other Boilermakers hit the clubhouse in a tie for fourth, to lead the Purdue men's golf team to the second-round lead at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate.

The Boilermakers used a second-round 286 (-2) - the best team round of the day by a 10-stroke margin - to post a score of 593 (+17) on Sunday. Purdue holds a 12-stroke edge over second-place Bowling Green, and a 13-stroke margin over host Missouri, with 18 holes to play on Monday.

Fu carded a four-over 76 in the first round before rebounding with a 71 (-1) in the afternoon session to wrap up the day tied with Missouri's Jace Long in second place with a total of 147 (+3). The duo is just three strokes back of Oakland's Jakob Ziegler, who fired an even-par 144 on Sunday.

Senior Nakarintra Ratanakul and junior Tyler Duncan also used strong second-round performances to conclude Sunday's action in a five-way tie for fourth place with a total of 148 (+4). Ratanakul posted a three-under 69 in the afternoon session to claim the best individual round of the day, while Duncan played the second round at level-par 72.

Freshman Adam Schenk wrapped up the day in a tie for 15th place with a total of 152 (+8), and junior William Sjaichudin rounded out the lineup in a tie for 21st with a tally of 153 (+9).

The final round of the Turning Stone Intercollegiate will commence with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. ET on Monday. Results will be posted at purduesports.com at the conclusion of the event.
