Men's Tennis Ends Run at HEB Baylor Invitational

WACO, Texas - The Purdue men's tennis team ended its run at the HEB Baylor Invitational on Saturday in Waco, Texas. Three Boilermakers were still alive in their singles draws, but saw them come to a halt after facing the thorny field at this competitive tournament.

Krisztian Krocsko (Budapest, Hungary) negotiated his way through two rounds of the main draw defeating Matt Teivens of Texas Pan American 6-3, 7-6 and Texas Christian's Emanuel Brighiu 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 on Friday. The Purdue sophomore was knocked out of the hunt Saturday by Colin Hoover of Texas A&M 6-1, 6-3.

His teammates, Aaron Dujovne and Mark Kovacs, met similar fates in the singles consolation draw. Both Boilermakers claimed victory in their first round consolation matches, but were routed on Saturday. Dujovne was defeated by Sergio Ramirez of Baylor 6-3, 7-5 and Kovacs fell to Texas A&M's Alexey Grigorov 6-4, 6-4.
